CM assures to provide land for setting up plant in state
Ranchi: Arvind Mills has approached Jharkhand government with the desire to invest Rs 400 crore in the state. The investments would create 10,000 job opportunities in the state.
Arvind Mills promoter Kulin Lalbhai met Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday in this regard. He said women will be especially benefitted by the investments. The CM welcomed the proposal and said that the government is looking forward to creating 2 lakh new jobs in the state.
Sources said the company will set the ball rolling from 30th November this year. The CM assured to give land to the company and all other necessary resources to make its investments.
Lalbhai said that youths will be trained and given jobs by the largest fabric manufacturing mill of the nation. He also appreciated the state government�s current policies for the textile industry.
The CM said that women need not go out of the state for work as they will be employed in textile industry after training. Very soon the government will initiate similar measures in tasar silk production. Intermediate pass students from Kasturba residential girl schools will be given jobs in such mills, he said.
Among others present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Industry Secretary Sunil Barnwal, Industry Secretary K Ravi Kumar, Arvind Mills CEO Tapan Raj Vanshi, CEO, Denim Fabrics Amir Akhtar and Nitin Seth.
