Jamshedpur, May 20: Artist Premier League (APL) cricket tournament will be organized for the artists of Jamshedpur from June 1 at Armoury Ground in Bistupur.
Addressing a press meet on Friday, one of the organizers, Saurabh Suman Jha, addressing a press conference at Kala Mandir in Bistupur, said, �Through cricket we are trying to give artists of Jamshedpur a platform so that they can come together for the art.�
Jha further said that the tournament will conclude on June 6 with cultural program in the evening. The cricket tournament will see participation of artists from film, TV, painting, radio, dance etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Govind Madhav Sharan, chief, Urban Services, Tata Steel, said, it’s a great initiative where artists all over will come together for cricket and will also plant saplings for environment conservation.
He informed that Tata Steel has always been supporting the artists and is always working towards the environment conservation.
Sweta Singh, Divyanshu, Chandan Paul, Asif, Deven, Manoj Nag, Kunal and others were present on the occasion.
