Seraikela: A cultural talent hunt programme titled �Sanskritik Pratibha Khoj� was organized at the Government Chhau Kala Kendra in Seraikela on Sunday under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Lok Kala Parishad.
The chief guest of the event was the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Arjun Munda while the guest of honour was the MLA of Kharsawan Dashrath Gagrai.
Addressing the gathering, Munda said that art and culture were the most valuable assets of villages. He said the art and culture of Jharkhand were admired all over the world. Art and culture can provide strength to the country and give a person a distinct identity, he observed.
The outfit president Nirmal said the organization was working sincerely to preserve the cultural heritage of Jharkhand.
Several renowned folk artists of the state performed during the event. An audition was held to shortlist the folk artists.
Among others present on the occasion included Yogendra Mishra, former MLA Sukhram Oraon, Nalini Kamneli, Tapan Patnayak, Sumit Mahapatra, Shivcharan Sahu, Bandi Oraon, Basant Gantayat, Umesh Bodra, Kalpana Sahay, Uday Singhdeo and Sushant Mahapatra.
