BJP announces candidates for Jharkhand Assembly Elections

Jamshedpur, Oct 19: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its first list of 66 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand.

Among the notable candidates are Meera Munda, the wife of former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, who is set to contest from Potka. Babulal Soren, the son of former CM Champai Soren, will represent the party in Ghatshila, while Dr. Dineshanand Goswami has been nominated from Baharagora.

Purnima Lalit Das, daughter-in-law of former CM Raghubar Das, will contest from Jamshedpur East, further emphasizing the party’s strategy of fielding prominent personalities. The list also includes Anant Ojha from Rajmahal, Lobin Hembram from Bori, and Babudhan Murmu from Littipara, showcasing a diverse selection of candidates from various regions.

Other candidates nominated by the BJP are Navneet Hembram from Maheshpur, Paritosh Soren from Shikaripara, Madhav Chandra Mahato from Nala, Sita Soren from Jamtara, Sunil Soren from Dumka, and Suresh Murmu from Jama. Furthermore, Devendra Kunwar will represent Jarmundi, Ganga Narayan Singh will contest from Madhupur, and Randhir Kumar Singh from Sarath.

The BJP has strategically chosen candidates who have a strong local presence and community ties, aiming to strengthen their electoral prospects. The party also encourages candidates to file their nominations promptly to ensure a smooth electoral process.
