Seraikela, August 21: Union tribal affairs minister and Khunti MP Arjun Munda reviewed implementation of Central government welfare schemes during the district infrastructure scheme advisory committee (Disha) meeting at Seraikela on Saturday.
Arjun Munda when informed about irregularities in the Har Ghar Nal Jal Yojana in laying of pipes asked the concerned officials to do quality work after checking the schemes and take action against the culprits in irregularities of the schemes so that benefits reaches last mile and blamed that the state government was not serious in implementing Central government’s scheme.
The Union minister also directed the concerned officials to rectify irregularities and deficiencies in drinking water and sanitation department, electricity, forest division and some other departments.
The minister also expressed displeasure over the various buildings being constructed in Dalma area and directed to issue notices against violators.
The welfare department officials was asked to provide forest lease by organizing Gram Sabha under the Forest Patta Act in all revenue villages.
The Kapali Municipal Council was asked to complete the water supply scheme by November-December. The minister also raised concern about misuse of drains by Modern Industries Private Limited which is harming animals due to polluted effluents being passed into the drain.
The meeting was attended by Singhbhum MP Geeta Koda, Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, Deputy Commissioner Arva Rajkamal, SP Anand Prakash and other senior officials of all departments.
