Archery competition organized in Jadugora

Jamshedpur: Narda resident Sher Singh Tudu secured the first prize at the 48th archery cum cultural programme organized in Talsa at Turamdih, Jadugora, on Sunday under the aegis of Adivasi Nav Yuvak Club. He was given a cash prize of Rs 20,000. The second prize was won by Pitho Majhi who was given Rs 10,000 by the organizers. Before prize distribution, Baha Pata folk dance was performed by several artists of Odisha, West Bengal and different parts of Kolhan. The dignitaries present during the event included UCIL director, Mines operations, PN Sarkar, Desh Pargana Baiju Murmu, VK Singh, Dashmat Hansda and Babulal Soren. A Santhali drama Kulmu Disom Riniz Kunami Chando was also enacted during the programme.
