Appointment in agriculture service cadre made after 32 years 

CM hands over appointment letters to 129 agriculture officers

Ranchi, June 1: In Jharkhand, the appointments have been made in the agricultural service cadre for the first time since creation of the state and after 32 years (in erstwhile Bihar).

 On Wednesday, appointment letters were distributed among 129 office bearers recommended by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. This appointment letter was given by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and agriculture minister Badal Patralekh at Ranchi.

Significantly, these officers who get the appointment letter will be given training for two months from June 6.

Hemant Soren congratulated those who contributed in the agricultural service. He said that this is a tribal dominated area. That is why here the intimacy towards them should be reflected in the officers. Most of the population of this state rely on agriculture. Farmers remain connected through you.

“Not only agriculture but in all departments, work is being done at a fast pace in the recruitment process. The appointments are being done in a transparent and fair manner,” said Soren while addressing the appointment letter distribution function of the agriculture officers.

“Though late but these appointments have been made to strengthen them. Agriculture is an important means of livelihood. This is an important department for the government. The farmers of state are technically behind. We have to move forward by restructuring the whole system afresh. The scope of agriculture department is huge. Agriculture department is one of the most important departments. The newly appointed officers, an important link between our farmer brothers and the government,” said Soren.

The Chief Minister said that no one was spared from Corona and no one remained untouched.

“Agriculture was the only area where efforts were on to provide relief to the common people. Many companies closed down, many became unemployed. But under MNREGA work continued in the field of agriculture,” added Soren.

The Chief Minister said that it is the effort of the present government that Jharkhand should be developed not only as a mineral wealth but also as an agricultural wealth.

Soren said that farmers should be seen with respect. Efforts should be made to upgrade them. There is no such product of this country, which is not here. There was a yield from tea leaves to coffee, which means that there is strength in the soil here.

Today, the direct link of the recruiters is with the farmers.

“I would also like to tell how a farmer can become prosperous. Till now the rules had not been made. Make the foundation of the state so strong that the roots of this state can never be shaken. You will have to walk among the farmers by yourself. If this time passes, it will be difficult to give direction to the state. Don’t rely on Bada Babu and Kirani Babu,” said Soren.
