APCR organizes workshop on protection of civil rights

Jamshedpur, Oct 9: The Association for Protection of Civil rights (APCR) today organized a one-day workshop at Hotel Mahal Inn, on protection of civil rights and the criminal justice system of India.

The proceedings commenced with the reading of Tilawat from the Quran where the Ayat states that one who kills one human being actually kills humanity and one who saves even a single human being save the whole of mankind. The program was anchored and conducted by Akhtar-ul-Iman and Saeed Yasir Ahmad.

Jamshedpur chapter convener Waqas Ur Rahman and keynote speaker and national convener of APCR, Ab Bakr Sabak spoke on the Indian legal system and elaborated on the judicial system of India.

RTI activist from New Delhi, Afroz Alam Sahil stressed on the important role of the media and stressed that RTI constituted an important armour of the citizens.

APCR state convenor Ziaullah opined that similar organizations should be set up in society. He also briefed about cases handled by APCR thus far.

Shahnawaz Khan, Kashif Raza Siddique, Samdani Farouqui, Javed Ahmad, Adnan, Rasik Ahmad, Wasif, Abhishek Singh, Sumant Chaudhary, Md Ansari were among others who participated in the workshop.
