Anwesha wins slogan-writing contest at NHES

Jamshedpur, June 5: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) celebrated World Environment Day to spread awareness among the citizens about the importance of saving mother nature and urged them to make all possible attempts to maintain healthy balance in the ecosystem.

The members of Interact Club of the school planted saplings and wrote slogans to create awareness on environmental issues. The slogan, “Respect Nature and Save the Environment”, by Anwesha of Std.VII D was adjudged the best.

School Principal, Paramita Roy Chaudhury said, “In keeping with this year’s theme of ‘Only One Earth’, the school’s effort has been not only to encourage students to plant more trees, but also to use products that can be recycled and reused.” World Environment Day was first celebrated in 1974.
