Anti-mob lynching bill would safeguard rights of the weak: Jharkhand CM Hemant

Ranchi, Dec. 21: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the bill would provide safeguard to the constitutional rights of the weak and the oppressed and would act as a deterrent against mob justice.

Later speaking to media, Hemant Soren said that now all section of society can work in their respective areas without fear.

“There have been incidents of mob justice and mob lynching in the state every now and then which are done by criminal elements in the garb of mob. It is the responsibility of all that all section of society exist in harmony and peace, but few anti-social elements do not desist from their activities which create unrest in society and create problem for common masses. This is the reason the government had to bring this bill which was passed on Tuesday.
