Anti-encroachment drive starts in Birsanagar today

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration has made preparations to remove encroachment from land earmarked for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) housing units beside Astha Twin City in Birsanagar. Encroachment was removed from the said locality thrice earlier.

Sources said several local residents had rebuilt illegal structures demolished earlier by the district administration. These illegal structures were built on government land, sources said.

Recently, SDO Dhalbhum Chandan Kumar, DSP Pawan Kumar and other district officials had visited the encroached land and warned the encroachers to remove the encroachment on their own. District administration officials once again issued warning to the encroachers on Sunday to vacant the said land and remove their goods and belongings.
