Jamshedpur, Dec 15: District Administration of Tuesday launched anti encroachment drive with an aim to prevent roads accidents in Jamshedpur and help widen the busy streets of the city.
The widening work is being carried by Jusco on the orders of district administration. Seeing the issues in this widening process the drive helped clear kiosks situated near the roads with the help of poklen.
Encroachments were removed from Sakchi Jubilee Park gate to Mango Bridge Roundabout passing through Old Court on Monday morning.
On the occasion Jusco officers, JNAC officials and police in large number was present. The drive was carried out smoothly without any obstruction while the people themselves helped the administration clear the encroachment.
At the event Captain Dhananjay Mishra of Jusco and JNAC officer Ayodhya Singh taking to the media persons said, �In order to prevent road accidents in Jamshedpur and help citizens drive smoothly prominent streets of the city are begin widened.
The main issue during the widening of roads is the small kiosks present at the side of the road. After the widening work is completed people of Steel city will see the drop in road mishaps and road jam which is a daily routine now days�, added Mishra.
It may be noted that after the schools get over the main streets of the city get overcrowded with vehicles resulting in jam.
The situation is same at Mango Bridge and after the no entry there is a continuous block for 3-4 hours near the bridge of heavy vehicles.
