Another sold out show as Jamshedpur FC takes on FC Pune City at JRD Stadium today

Jamshedpur: The steel City is all set for an exciting Indian Super league (ISL) match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex ‘The Furnace’ on Sunday when the hosts Jamshedpur Football Club (JFC) take on the FC Pune City. Crowd in large number will be cheering for the home side as the match is almost sold out.

People were seeing queuing up for the tickets on the eve of the match on Saturday. The ticket counters put up at the match venue saw people since early morning as the official ticketing partner of JFC Kyazoonga.com informed that only few tickets were left for the second home game of the Jamshedpur FC.

The tickets in large numbers were sold on Saturday evening, the eve of the match. JFC t-shirts were also selling like hotcakes as citizens in large number specially the school students were spotted buying the jersey from vendors outside the stadium. The craze for the second home match of JFC escalated after the Tata Steel owned franchise registered its maiden win against the Delhi Dynamos in the national capital.

The ticket sale was on the slow side till before the match against the Delhi Dynamos but ever since the victory more than ten thousand tickets were sold in the space of three days.

The Jamshedpur FC side led by Coach Steve Coppell had a practice session both on Friday and Saturday afternoon at the Tata Football Academy (TFA) ground.

The focus was on the players who had not played the match against Delhi Dynamos on December 6 while other players in the team indulged in small warm up. South African winger Sameehg Doutie was not part of the practice session and will not be part of the team for the match against the FC Pune City on December 10.

The hosts will also be looking for their fifth consecutive clean sheet when they take on FC Pune City on Sunday. It may be noted that Jamshedpur FC are the only side in the Indian Super League (ISL) this season yet to concede a goal.

Anas Edathodika will be out of action for some time and missing one of their best defenders, Coppell’s side will have their work cut out if they want to keep yet another clean sheet. FC Pune City have netted nine goals in their last four ISL encounters.

On the other hand, visiting FC Pune City also had a practice session at the TFA Ground in the morning. Led by Coach Ranko Popovic the team sweated it out in a gruelling two-hour session. FC Pune City would like to register a win in Jamshedpur after they lost the last match against the Chennaiyin FC 1-0.
The gates will open at 3.30 pm for the match starting at 5.30 pm.
