Jamshedpur : SDSM School for Excellence celebrated its 18th Annual Sports Day on Mondayat Tinplate Sports Complex.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Rakeshwar Pandey (Workers� Union Leader & Social Worker), Gamharia Diwakar Singh the Chairman, Mrs. Shyamali Virdi Principal and Mrs. Ragini Singh Vice-Principal and staff members.
The programme started with the welcome speech by the Chief Guest in which he thanked and welcomed the parents and students. He also threw light on the importance of sports as well.
The sports meet was declared open by the Chief Guest followed by releasing of the balloons with a mascot bearing the schools emblem and motto. The sport activities began with the March Past followed by other activities. Everyone was delighted to watch the synchronized March Past and other Athletic activities.
Later the audience was enthralled by the display of various drills like Lets have a party, Robotic Mania, Exuberance of Victory and Ring O Merriment performed by Junior classes. The programme was followed by many sporting events like 75 mts flat race, 100 M flat race, Gift for friend, Relay races etc.
The kids were excited and it was really quite the joy to see how genuine and eager they were to compete or cheer. Different families include Mountain, Fire, Sun, Moon, Tree and Cloud. The students showcased their multifaceted talents.
It was a mega event and it culminated by the award ceremony where students were awarded trophies and medals by the Chief Guest.
