Jamshedpur, Dec 26: The Annual sports day of SD Public School made for an exciting affair as students of various age groups and classes showcased their talent in track and field events. School Principal Sashikant Singh presented the welcome address.
Chief guest and School Secretary Vijay Shankar and guest of honour Gita Shankar lit the sports torch to signal the commencement of the school games. They also took the guard of honour as the students marched past their podium in immaculate uniformity.
Among the events were relay, hurdle and obstacle races while the field events included kabaddi, kho-kho and tug-of-war events.
Students of the lower classes showed their physical fitness in events like fun games, drills, yoga, aerobics and PT.
Sri Krishna House Yellow House) were declared the champion team while Gandhi House (Green House) came a close runner up. Winners were presented medals and certificates. All school teachers led by event in-charge Vishal Kumar organized the exciting event.
