Annapurna Rasoi completes one month, fruits with food packs distributed

Jamshedpur, April 6: The Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwari Sammelan (PSZMS) has completed itys round-the-year food packet distribution project. Under this project, attendants and patients of Meherbai Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital staying in the guesthouse are provided food packets once a day free of cost. At an average, 80 packets are distributed daily.

PSZMS president Ashok Modi observed, “We urge people to respect food and not waste it. Food saved caters to the hunger of the needy. That is why we took up this Annapurna Rasoi project to do our humble bit for patients and their attendants at MTMH.”

It may be mentioned here that led by PSZMS president and general secretary Arun Gupta, the community’s known social activists have come forward to provide the project financial support and cooperation. On completion of one month of this round-the-year Annapurna Rasoi project, senior vice president of PSZMS Ashok Bhalotia sponsored fruits that were distributed along with Tuesday’s lunch packets.

The conveners of the Annapurna Rasoi project, Mahabir Agrawal of Sonari and Murari Lal Agrawal of Bhalubasa came in for a lot of appreciation for their unwavering dedication.

Among the elite of the community present during today’s food packet and fruits distribution were Nirmal Kabra, Ashok Bhalotia, Umesh Shah, Dilip Goyal, Chhitarmal Dhoot, Ashok Modi, Arun Kumar Gupta, Ashok Goyal, Dinesh Agrawal, Lippu Sharma, Mahavir Agrawal (Dhatkidih), Murari Lal Agrawal and Govind Agrawal.
