Ranchi, May 2: BJP candidate Dilip Verma has filed nomination for Gandey by-election. He has submitted his nomination papers to Koderma deputy commissioner.
Initially, Dilip Verma was going to file nomination on May 3 but due to some reason it was decided that he would also file nomination along with Koderma Lok Sabha candidate Annapurna Devi. Actually, UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has arrived in Giridih today. He has appealed to vote in favor of Annapurna Devi. He has also asked for votes for Dilip Verma.

Dilip Verma is pitted against Kalpana Soren for the Gandey Assembly by-election. Kalpana Soren had filed her nomination on April 29. Along with the Lok Sabha elections, by-elections will also be held in Gandey on May 20.
BJP candidate Annapurna Devi has filed nomination from Koderma Lok Sabha seat. During this time, BJP State President Babulal Marandi and other BJP leaders and workers were present with him. A public meeting has also been organized after the nomination.
Elections are to be held in Koderma on 20th May and Annapurna Devi will be in straight contest with CPIML MLA and INDIA bloc candidate Vinod Singh.
