Jamshedpur, Aug 31: Jharkhand state Congress executive president and MP Geeta Koda today met the relatives of Dumka girl Ankita who was burnt mercilessly by a local stalker Shahrukh in Jaruwadih village. She assured to help the family and give them protection.
Condemning the incident, the MP said, “It is a heinous and most condemnable crime against women. The government will try its best to ensure that the girl’s killers get death penalty. I am also a mother of girls and I demand that fast track hearing of the case should be ensured for speedy trial. The district administration should provide round-the-clock protection of the family.”
