Jamshedpur’s Ankita secures AIR 3 in CDSE, Will Join Indian Army

Jamshedpur: Ankita Yadav has brought immense pride to the Steel City by securing All India Rank (AIR) 3 in the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE). The daughter of J.D. Yadav, Head Cashier at Bank of India’s Tamilia Branch, Ankita earned her selection through the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. She will soon begin her journey as an officer in the Indian Army.

Ankita’s achievement has sparked widespread celebration across the region. Varun Kumar of the Purva Sainik Parishad, Jamshedpur, felicitated her during a special ceremony.

“This is a moment of great pride for retired personnel and all residents of Jamshedpur,” Kumar stated. “We celebrate her success and wish her the very best in her service to the nation.”

Local residents and well-wishers gathered at Shrishti Garden to honor her with a shawl and sweets. Many described her success as an inspiring example of perseverance for the city’s youth, especially young girls aspiring to join the armed forces.

The Path Ahead

Ankita will soon join the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai for rigorous military training. Upon completion, she will receive her commission as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army, taking on the vital responsibility of safeguarding the nation’s borders.

Her family attributes this milestone to her unwavering hard work and determination, noting that her success encourages others in the locality to dream big and strive for excellence.
