Anish Mishra crowned winner of ESBA badminton championship

Jamshedpur: Anish Mishra was crowned the winner of the district badminton championship cum selection trial organised by East Singhbhum badminton association (ESBA).

In the men’s single final played at Mohan Ahuja Stadium on Sunday, Anish Mishra defeated Faraj Khan 21-10, 19-21, 21-11.

In Girls single (Under-19) Deyashi Kanjibiliya beat Pragya J Bodra 21-7, 21-5
In Boys single (Under-19) Ujjawal Paswan defeated Ashutosh Akaash 21-17, 15-21,21-15
In Boys single (Under-11) krish Dubey, Girl’s single (Under-11) Kanishka Ray, Boys single (Under-13) Kunal Patel, In girls single (Under-13) Sarah Sharma. In Boys single (Under-15) Kunal Patel, In Girls single (Under-15) Aadhya Singh, In girls single (Under-17) Pragya J Bodra, In Boys single (Under-17) Ujjwal Paswan were crowned the winners in the category.

In Women’s doubles Kumari Jagrity and Monika beat Jalpa Parikh and Mamta 21-13,21-6.
In men’s doubles Faraj and Anish defeated Jitendra Sharma and Homiyar 21-13,18-21,21-13 .
In Boys double (Under-15) Ayaan Taunk and Pratik Giri won. In Boys double (Under-19) Ujjawal Paswan and Gaurav Paswan defeated Ashutosh Akaash and Vivek Kumar Singh by 21-16, 21-16.

The final saw presence of Sanjay Pandey, special officer, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) as the chief guest who awarded the winners.

Also present were K Prabhakar Rao secretary Jharkhand Badminton Association, Sanjiv Kumar member of ESBA and representative of M.P. Jamshedpur, Ravi Singh, treasurer of Jharkhand Badminton Association, Vijay Sahoo from Gumla district badminton secretary, Ranjay Kumar Rai, secretary, ESBA, Saurav Jha, treasurer of ESBA, Vijay Shankar, vice president of ESBA. Other members of ESBA present were Ravi Prakash Singh and Arun Singh.
