Animal meat found, ruckus in Kadma

Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha activists put up demonstration before Kadma police station on Monday following an incident of throwing of animal meat on the premises of a house in the area.

Sources said a local resident had found pieces of meat of an animal on his premises in the morning. This led the man and people in the neighbourhood to come out in protest.

The residents alleged that the incident was the result of a deliberate act intended to disturb communal harmony and hurt the sentiments of a particular community. They demanded arresting of the culprits as soon as possible.

In a bid to show sympathy with the protestors, BJP and JVM activists gathered at the scene and raised slogans against the police for inaction.

The protestors alleged that police were deliberately delaying arresting of the culprits in a bid to suppress the incident. They said the culprits should not be spared as it was an incident aimed at disturbing peace in the society.

Local police officials tried to assuage the demonstrators and assured to take speedy action against the culprits. They said they would be taking stern action against the accused persons once they were identified.
