Anglo-Indians celebrate Senior Citizens� Day in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec. 16: The All India Anglo Indian Association, Jamshedpur Branch organized Senior Citizens� Day and Christmas Tree 2019 on Sunday, December 15 at Shakuntala Udyan, Birsanagar, Jamshedpur with great zeal and enthusiasm. Around 135 members were a part of the celebration.

The event started with a blessing and cake cutting ceremony which was cut by senior members of the association Cliffy White and Valerie Singh. President Nevada Dalby wished all the members a prosperous festive season.

Different games were organised for children. Members also enjoyed Housie. Surprise extravagant Hamper was organized for members of the association. Rishona Alberts and Shania Moss were declared the lucky winners.

Then Santa distributed gifts and chocolates to all the children who were in their glory. The children along with the members enjoyed and danced to the lovely Christmas Carols like Jingle Bells, Feliz Navidad, Blue Christmas and Joy to the World. All the children & senior citizens were given gifts by the association.

Colleen Xavier on behalf of the senior citizens thanked the All India Anglo Indian Association, Jamshedpur Branch for making this day special and memorable one for them.

The event ended with a beautiful song �When The Saints Go Marching In� sung by Ashley Doyle, a senior member of the association.

President Nevada Dalby, Vice Presidents Garvin Waters and Eustace Sneyd, Treasurer Marvin Moss, Additional Treasurer Wendy Reid, Secretary Evelyn Thomas, Additional Secretary Grenville Peters, Entertainment Team Patricia Bosen, Gloria Prabal and Godwin Mcghee along with Team Advisor Maryanne Ekka were present and played vital role in making the event successful.
