Anglo Indian Community helps less fortunate

Jamshedpur, Aug. 4: India is rich in diversity and has many communities that make her proud. In all this diversity the Anglo Indian Community has created a niche for itself. On 2nd August 2017 celebrating World Anglo Indian Day the members of the Anglo Indian Community was in a buoyant mood greeting family and friends.

In keeping with the tradition to do good for the less fortunate members of our society, they visited Nirmal Hriday Home run by the Missionaries Of Charity.

They donated 4 ceiling fans, 25 kgs rice and 10 kgs milk powder for the inmates. The members met the inmates and cheered them up and made them feel that someone cares for them. The president Nevada Dalby, Vice Presidents (Eustace Sneyd & Maryanne Ekka) with team members Marvin Moss, Clayton Daunt, Randhir Alberts, Maxwel Joseph, Patricia Bell, Thelma Dumnel, Coleen Xavier, Marlene Sinha, Keshav Sinha & Lorraine Ghosh coordinated the visit.

The celebration continues on the 5th August 2017 with a gala nite at Hotel Boulevard for all Anglo Indians. Glenn Gaulstan, MLA, Jharkhand will be honoring the community with his presence.

In keeping up with the love standing legacy of the Anglo Indian community in the field of education the Jamshedpur Branch is organizing their 9th Frank Anthony Memorial English Elocution Contest on Friday, 25th August 2017 at Gulmohur High School, Telco. The Frank Anthony Award for Excellence in studies will be given to the toppers of the ICSE & ISC examinations at this event.
