Jamshedpur, July 5: The members of All India Anglo-Indian Association, Jamshedpur Branch visited St. Joseph�s Hospital, Bhilai Pahari to mark World Anglo Indian Day on Sunday, 5th August.
St. Joseph�s Hospital was founded by Late Fr. George Manarakam on 12th December 2006. The hospital has approximately 40 patients. They offer free treatment for patients suffering from Tuberculosis. They also offer treatment for other patients at a nominal rate. They also treat leprosy patients & sick old people. The Director of the hospital is Fr. Vijay Bhatt.
Rev. Dr. Desmond Tully, Vice President, All India Anglo-Indian Association, Jamshedpur Branch started the proceedings with a prayer. Nevada Dalby, President of the association gave a speech on behalf of the association highlighting their desire to help the sick & the needy.
Fr. Vijay Bhatt then spoke about the hospital & its treatment. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Anglo Indian Association for this noble gesture. The association donated 40 kgs Flour, 50 kgs rice, 20 ltrs cooking Oil, 2 kgs Dal, 30 biscuit packets & 1 cartoon of toiletries for the inmates. They also donated cash. The members met the inmates and cheered them up and made them feel that someone cares for them.
The association will organize the 10th Frank Anthony Memorial English Elocution Contest on Friday, 31st August 2018 at Loyola School. The Frank Anthony Award for Excellence in studies will be given to the toppers of the ICSE & ISC examinations at this event.
