Ranchi, August 24: A delegation of Jharkhand state anganwadi sevika sahayika sangh thanked the chief minister Hemant Soren for assurance to make rules fulfilling their long standing demands of hike in allowances.
Hemant Soren told the delegation of Anganwadi Sevika-Sahayika Sangh that the government is working to give rights to all sections, communities and government employees.
“Our government has worked to solve the problems by showing sensitivity on many demands including the demand of para teachers, the demand for compensatory leave of policemen, old pension etc. We have also made it possible for poor students to now go abroad for studies through scholarship,” said Soren to the delegation.
Soren assured that manual is being prepared for the anganwadi sevikas and sahayika.
“Till date there was no manual for Anganwadi workers and helpers in the state. As per your demands under the new rules, now Anganwadi workers will get an honorarium of Rs 9500 and Anganwadi helpers will get an honorarium of Rs 4750 per month. Under the new rules, the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers will be shared by the Central Government at Rs 2700 and Rs 6800 by the State Government respectively. Similarly, provision is being made to the Anganwadi helpers to share Rs.1350 from the Central Government and Rs.3400 from the State Government respectively,” said Soren.
The Chief Minister said that now sevikas and assistants working in small Anganwadi centers of the state would also be given honorarium of Rs. 9500 and Rs. 4750 per month respectively. In which small Anganwadi workers can be paid an honorarium of Rs.9500 per month with the share of payment of Rs.2100 and Rs.7400 from the Central Government respectively. The Chief Minister said that under the new rules, the state government would deposit 6 percent of the honorarium separately while opening the provident fund account of all Anganwadi workers. Now provision is being made to provide compassionate benefits to Anganwadi workers also.
