Home Minister Shah, who arrived in Kozhikode on Saturday evening, led the procession along a key stretch from Mathottam Bijith Junction to Naduvattom. The coastal constituency transformed into a vibrant political arena as thousands of supporters turned the route into a “sea of saffron.”

Crowds began assembling early Sunday morning, waiting hours to catch a glimpse of the senior BJP leader. Supporters waved party flags, held banners, and chanted slogans as the convoy moved through the packed streets.

• The Contest: Beypore is currently witnessing a fierce triangular battle between Babu (NDA), P.A. Mohamed Riyas (LDF), and P.V. Anvar (UDF-backed Independent).

The roadshow marks the beginning of a marathon campaign day for the Home Minister. His schedule for the remainder of his Kerala visit includes:

1. Public Meetings: Addresses in Kunnathunad and Kattakkada later this afternoon.

2. Pravasi Interaction: A meeting with members of the Pravasi (expatriate) community in Thiruvananthapuram.

3. Final Stop: A scheduled roadshow in Haripad, Alappuzha district, on Monday before he returns to New Delhi.
