Ranchi, Feb. 15: Chief Minister Raghubar Das received a delegation from Japan led by H E Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to India, in Ranchi on Wednesday. The duo discussed the strengthening of ties between Jharkhand and Japan on economic, industrial and social development fronts. They also exchanged views on cooperation in the smart cities project, automotive, student exchange programme, irrigation, cold and supply chain infrastructure, electronics, tourism and skill development.
Das welcomed the Ambassador of Japan and expressed his keenness to promote Japanese investment in Jharkhand. He also expressed his commitment towards making the Japanese industry comfortable in the State. He assured full cooperation of Government for setting up of Japanese industries in Jharkhand. Ambassador of Japan appreciated the Jharkhand Government�s efforts to improve ease of doing business and enhance the climate for business.
The CM said that there is a strong traditional and cultural bond between Jharkhand and Japan in the form of Buddhism and said that we can build upon this tradition for the welfare of people of the two regions.
The Ambassador of Japan said that Japanese industry and Government are looking forward to increase their involvement, participation and investment in Jharkhand. Japanese industry is quite comfortable with the governance and culture of the Gujarat state.
Das said that the Japanese Companies are keen to build the bond of partnership with Jharkhand. Considering Jharkhand’s development strides, growing global influence, Japan’s delegation are on and often visiting Jharkhand, and say that in every quarter some of the delegation is paying visit to Jharkhand.
Japan, being a partner country for the summit, has shown keen interest in participating across the sessions during the Momentum Jharkhand Global Investors� Summit 2017.
�We are looking forward for this opportunity to establish collaborations between various sector experts and businesses and strengthen relationship between the state of Jharkhand and Japan. He also invited the CM to visit Japan,� said Hiramatsu.
