Jamshedpur, Feb 4: The three-day All India Inter NIT Competition in Table Tennis, Chess, and Yoga concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony on February 4 at 4 pm in the Athletics Ground of NIT Jamshedpur. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Bimal Kumar (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Seraikela Kharsawa, and Parul Singh, SDM. The ceremony commenced with a traditional Chhau dance to welcome the esteemed guests.
During the ceremony, all the successful winners of the competition were honored with trophies and certificates as a token of recognition for their achievements. The Hon’ble Executive Director, Dr. RV Sharma, expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee, led by Prof. AKL Srivastava (Chairman), Dr. Ratnesh Mishra (Vice President and Faculty in Charge), Dr. Vasudev Behera, Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Shri Prabhat Rai (Secretary), and Dr. Shubham Tripathi (Media Incharge).
The closing ceremony also featured a forum moderated by NIT students Simran and Aditi. Prof. AKL Srivastava delivered the welcome address, and Dr. Col. Nishith Rai, the Registrar of the Institute, conveyed the vote of thanks.
As part of the post-ceremony festivities, all participants enjoyed a DJ night program, adding a fun and celebratory touch to the successful conclusion of the event. Notable attendees during the program included Observer Dr. Awadhesh Pratap Singh, Registrar (Dr) Col. Nishith Rai, Dr. Shailendra Kumar, Dr. Prahlad Prasad, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, and others. The event highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participants from various NITs across the country.
