Alcor Case: Action against influential people on cards

Jamshedpur, Aug 13: Several influential people are under scanner over case of flesh trade and violation of lockdown at Hotel Alcor. The police have also served a notice to a scrap trader. On the call of the police, he also reached Bistupur police station yesterday. Since then, there has been a stir among the so-called stalwarts of the society. The list includes 10 people including a textile businessman from Bistupur, a representative of a business organization, a relative of a political leader, a scrap businessman from Bistupur Circuit House.

A written complaint has been given by a person from the city in the Chief Minister’s Office. In which he was told that on April 24, police-administration officials raided Bistupur Alcor Hotel. Many people had managed to escape at that time. The complainant has also given the names and addresses of the escapees and said that the role of these influencers should also be investigated.

The CM office instructed DGP to look into the matter. After this, the matter reached Bistupur police station four days ago. Bistupur police station has started contacting all those named in the complaint letter.

Significantly, the hotel owner Rajiv Singh Duggal, manager Dhananjay Kumar Singh, entrepreneur Shankar Poddar, railway contractor Rajesh Mangotia alias Laddoo Mangotia, Raju Bhalotia, a young woman from Kolkata, Rahul Agarwal, Rajat, on charges of conducting unethical work in Hotel Alcor Jaggi, Deepak Agarwal was arrested and sent to jail in the month of April. All were granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court in the last week of June.
