‘Akhand Tiranga Yatra’ in Jamshedpur to Honour Martyrs on Mar 22

Jamshedpur: Preparations are underway in the city for the Shaheed Samman Yatra and Akhand Tiranga Yatra to be organised on March 22 by Naman Parivar to honour the country’s integrity and pay tribute to the nation’s martyrs.

To ensure the success of the annual event, public relations drives and meetings were held in several parts of the city. Interactions were organised with senior citizens’ associations and local residents in Sakchi, near Mahalaxmi Temple, Mango, Shankosai, Kharia Basti, Manifit, Lal Bhatta, Babudih Basti, Jharna Ghat, and Golmuri.

During the meetings, citizens were informed about the objective and significance of the yatra and were urged to participate in large numbers to pay homage to the nation’s immortal martyrs.

Speaking on the occasion, Naman founder Amarpreet Singh Kale said that the Akhand Tiranga Yatra and Shaheed Samman Yatra were initiated in 2016 to counter anti-national slogans and strengthen the spirit of unity, integrity, and patriotism in the country. He said that since its inception, the yatra has been organised every year with enthusiastic participation from residents of the city.

Kale appealed to citizens to come forward in large numbers to make this year’s yatra historic and to pay a tribute to the immortal martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru.

Residents and representatives present in the meetings also resolved to collectively ensure that this year’s Shaheed Samman Yatra and Akhand Tiranga Yatra are organised on a grand scale.
