Gamharia: An akhand sunderkand recitation programme was organized on the occasion of Baisakh New Year at Chhota Gamharia on Saturday.
Worship of various deities was done by a number of priests. A large number of people were present on the occasion. Prasad was distributed among devotees on the occasion.
Local devotees sang bhajans after the recitation and prayed to the Almighty for the well-being of one and all.
Those present during the worship included Jai Kishore Mishra, Gajendra Mishra, Sanjay Tiwary, Rajendra Rai, Niranjan Pandey, Rajan Singh and Mahesh Karna. The organizers said they will organize such programme in the coming days as well.
