Ranchi: All Jharkhand Students Union(AJSU) general secretary Umakant Rajak today demanded that the state government should issue a white paper on its preparations to counter adverse impacts of an errant monsoon on the agriculture of the state.
He said the farmers of the state were ridden with worries about their future due to irregular monsoon. Many farmers have started migrating to other states in search of jobs, he said.
Rajak alleged that the government had not yet started efforts to provide alternative agriculture assistance to farmers of the state. Farmers have not been provided hybrid seeds and food-grains yet, he said.
