AJSU organizes sit-in at JWC, seeks grace marks

Jamshedpur: Members of the student wing of All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) organized a sit-in before the gate of Jamshedpur Women’s College at Bistupur to demand grace marks for students who had failed in their exams.

Led by Hemant Pathak, the agitating students demanded that they should be allowed to meet the principal Dr Purnima Kumar to apprise her of their demands. However, the college management did not allow the students to meet the principal. The agitators said the college should give grace marks up to 10 to the students.

They also demanded action against the teachers who allegedly did not evaluate the copies properly.

Among those present on the occasion included Sangita Pandey, Deepak Pandey, Ruby Munda, Pradip Rai and Preeti Singh.
