AIWC Academy prize nite organized

Jamshedpur, Nov. 28: AIWC Academy of Excellence organised its annual prize night for the senior students at the school premises on Saturday.

This function started with a welcome song by the school choir and later the students then showcased their prowess in a scintillating dance performance, which enthralled the audience. Chief guest on the function was R Ravi Prasad, president, Tata Workers Union.

Prasad spoke about his appreciation for the school�s progress and shared some inspirational thoughts. Later, the chief guest honored the students. Prizes were also awarded to students for highest scores, most improved child, special achievement and 100 percent attendance. From this year, a new award has been instituted � �The Surekha Nerurkar Award.� The crowning glory of the function was �Swaccha Bharat� � a dance item with the theme � �Cleanliness is next to Godliness.�

Some of the proud achievers in the various categories were Nishant Singh bagged the �Student of the Year� award. Sudip Dutta was declared the �Most disciplined� student, while Rishi Maskara won for �Best Orator� award. Priyanka Das bagged the �All Rounder� award and Nidhi Kumari received the �Surekha Nerurkar Award for the highest aggregate.
