Jamshedpur, Feb 21: A consultant of All India Institute of Medical Sciences ( AIIMS)� �Dr S Sharan today inspected MGM Medical College and Hospital, raising� hopes of a face-lift� for the� government heal hub.
Following� request from the� state health minister Banna Gupta who is trying to bring about changes in the functioning of the hospital ever since he became the minister, Sharan visited the hospital.�

The AIIMS consultant saw various departments and took stock of infrastructure. He also spoke to the doctors and administrative officials. He spent over five hours in making an assessment of the present condition of the hospital and left with a note that he would shortly advise a remedial measure for bring the hospital back to its health soon.

MGM Medical College and Hospital is a government hospital with the facility of 540 beds. Everyday around 1000 patients come here for treatment.

It may be mentioned that State Government governed Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital, is an Indian medical school established in 1964. It is situated in the outskirts of Jamshedpur near Dimna. The college’s hospital is located in Sakchi.
