AIADA to set up vigilance team to keep vigil on industrial units

Jamshedpur: Taking serious note of recent busting of a gun factory in an Adityapur-based company, Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) has decided to keep vigil on suspicious activities in the local industrial units.

Terming the incident as unprecedented in the history of Adityapur Industrial Area, ASIA functionaries here announced to set up a vigilance team to ensure that no such illegal activities take place in any of the 500-odd companies.

The president of ASIA, SN Thakur, said, �We have asked proprietors and managers of all industrial units in Adityapur to keep strict vigil on the activities taking place in their plants. We have asked them to tip off us in case they find anything going suspicious either in their companies or any other company in the area. Stringent and prompt action will be taken against the culprits.�

Thakur said a delegation of ASIA functionaries had met the managing director of Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (AIADA) and demanded cancellation of land allotment made to the owner of the company in whose plant the gun factory was busted by police.

A joint team of Bihar and Jamshedpur police had raided a factory in Adityapur recently and recovered over 100 sophisticated guns. The guns were being made in the factory for the last several months, cops had found out. The gun manufacturing was on by members of a Munger-based gang of gun suppliers and manufacturers.
