Jamshedpur, March 17: Acting on a tip-off MGM police station in-charge Amish Hussain, inspector Jaldhar Hembrom, assistant sub-inspectors Santosh Kumar Singh and Abhay Sharma along with Armed Forces Constable Sanjay Ram and other police personnel arrived near the Konark Everest godown ahead of Ghari detergent factory north of Bhilai Pahari Simuldanga Chowk on Wednesday and found a group of people gambling.
When they saw the policemen, they tried to flee the area, while one of them tried to flee in his Scorpio SUV vehicle. However, the police nabbed all the culprits.
The police rounded of the area where the group of six was sitting and took the place under their possession. Police also recovered a pistol loaded with two bullets from one Aditya Sharma, son of Karthik Sharma and resident of Rakesh Tower in Mango.
Three live bullets were also recovered from Micky Sharma, brother of Aditya Sharma. Police also recovered two darees, four sets of playing cards, Rs 6280 cash, six mobile phones, three cars including a Scorpio, Alto, Indigo and three motorcycles.
Others arrested include Goutam Mandal, son of Shanti Mandal and resident of Dimna Basti; Vinay Singh, son of late Rajan Singh Hulung and resident of Birsanagar; and Shankar Rao, son of late Kripa Rao and resident of Sitaramdera.
