Bokaro, Feb. 14: Development in the field of agriculture can be instrumental in the efforts of the government to overcome the problems of unemployment in rural Jharkhand.
For this, proper irrigational arrangements are must for the state as well as nation, said Chief Minister Raghubar Das at Satanpur panchayat of Chas Block of Bokaro District during the Yojana Banao Abhiyan meeting on Sunday.
The Chief Minister further added, “In order to overcome water scarcity, we will have to think and act for water preservation. Yojana Banao Abiyan is meant for the betterment of rural people of Jharkhand. The government desires to associate the masses in the policy making process. The government is trying to empower panchayats to achieve the goal of financial development.”
Das also asserted the need for triple crop cultivation and said that it will boost state’s financial growth. For all this, social peace should be maintained and the government will reward Rs 1 lakh cash to all riot-free villages, he announced.
During his speech, Das asked the villagers to plan for their development. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi he said, without empowerment of villages and villagers, dream of development cannot be achieved. The CM said that state government is keenly trying for rural development but for this collaborative efforts are sought.
The government is giving priority to overcome the problem of unemployment and for this skill development schemes have been started, said CM. He stressed for education, sanitation, women empowerment and social peace. CM said, “Do not marry your under-aged daughters; it is better to arrange for their education.”
While addressing the matter of power, Das said very soon Jharkhand will emerge as power hub and all the villages of state will have regular power supply. He asked the villagers to avail crop insurance benefit. The CM appealed the youth to participate in government schemes and avail the benefits of Jan Dhan Yojana.
After participating in the Yojna Banao Abhiyan, the CM went to Bokaro Mahila College to attend its annual function and also attended in a public facilitation meeting organized at the Durga Puja Ground in Sector 2C, Bokaro. Local MLA Biranchi Narayan and officials accompanied the CM.
