Gamharia: A meeting of the permanent agriculture committee of Gamharia was held at the community building at the block office on Wednesday.
Various issues related to agriculture and problems of local farmers were discussed during the meeting. The meeting was presided over by the outfit president Sokhen Hembram.
It was decided to set up a group to pay visit to various panchayats and promote lac cultivation and mushroom production. Many agriculture officials attended the meeting.
Discussion was also held on the issue of irrigation facilities.
