Agriculture Meet concludes on a buoyant note

Jamshedpur, Jan 30: Vaartaa � An Agriculture meet concluded today with a feedback session that was witnessed by more than 550 farmers.

On the last day farmers shared their learning and experiences of the meet. Few of the participants enthusiastically narrated their experience to the spectators present on the occasion.

Chunar Manjhi, a Patamda-based farmer said, �I am very happy to see my farmer brothers from different places at this meet. On behalf of farmers I express heart-felt thanks to the scientists who gave us valuable information and tips to improve agriculture practices�.

Binod Kumar Mahato, a farmer from Dhanbad, said �of the three sessions that I attended, I found the one on mushroom cultivation to be very useful.

I want to start mushroom cultivation and the information from the session has helped me realise this�. Speaking on the concluding day, Debdoot Mohanty, Head, CSR, Jharkhand and New Projects, Tata Steel said, �The objective of this meet was to bring agriculture scientists and experts to the farmers so that the farmers can find solution to agriculture-related issues and learn new ideas to better their agriculture practices. We are happy to hear from farmers and their resolve to implement the learning of the meet in their field.�
