AGM of Indian Value Engineering Society held at Nildih

Jamshedpur, Oct. 3: The Indian Value Engineering Society today organized its 33rd Annual General Meeting at Tube Makerís Club, Nildih, Jamshedpur. More than 75 members along with their spouse from Tata Steel, Tata Motors, TRF, TCIL, JUSCO, Tata Hitachi and Tata Cummins participated in the AGM. Alok Kanagat, vice president, Engineering and Projects, Tata Steel graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

During the programme Kanagat emphasized upon the cost challenge being faced by the industries mainly due to prolonged recession and global competition. He mentioned that the application of Value Engineering in different areas mainly Project, Process, Product & System at design stage will help us in minimising the unnecessary cost thereby delivering the competitive value to customer over the life cycle.

Chairman P S Reddy, Vice Chairman, S K Sonthalia, Secretary Amit Ghosh and Joint Treasurer Arun Kumar addressed all the members of INVEST- EZC and shared the performance report of FY 2016 .

This was followed by formation of new council members for INVEST-EZC and ratification by its members. The new council members include chairman S K Sonthalia, secretary Surya Prakash Prabhakar, treasurer Arun Kumar, members Alok Ghoshal, Anil Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Amit Ghosh and mentor P S Reddy (immediate past chairman).
