Jamshedpur : A 29year-old contract worker, Kaushik Barik was killed while plucking mangoes from
a tree inside Tata Steel company premises under Bistupur police station area early on Friday morning.

demonstration at Bistupur Police Station.
A resident of Jugsalai the victim used to work in the contract firm, SGB Scaffolding Pvt Ltd inside the steel company, had sustained grievous head injury while plucking the mango.
Ateam of police officials recovered the body and sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem, a group of fellow contract workers reached the post-mortem office and created ruckus.
They alleged it to be a case of murder. The agitated contract workers had also manhandled with a policeman.
“The workers had tried to prevent the police to get post-mortem done, but later the workers were convinced,” said the officer-incharge, Bistupur police station, Jitendra Kumar.
