Covid-19 tests cross 3 lakh mark in East Singhbhum
Jamshedpur, Nov 4: After a gap of six days, Jamshedpur recorded two deaths on Tuesday, November 3. East Singhbhum district reported 76 positive cases while 35 people recovered of the virus on Tuesday. Â Â Â Â
Positive tally has climbed to 15976 while the death toll has reached 354 with 2 death reported on Tuesday.
35 people recovered of the virus on Tuesday taking the total recovery to 14414 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1208. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 114398 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 91% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 319077 samples have been collected out of which 304528 have been tested and 288552 have turned out to be negative.
The Coronavirus tally in the state on Tuesday reached to 1,02,887 as 397 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 23 districts of the state. During the day 5 deaths were reported across the state including 2 each from East Singhbhum and Ranchi districts and 1 from West Singhbhum as a result of which the overall death count has increased to 891. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 5,021 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 96,975. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 891. On Tuesday no case was found in Pakur district. On Tuesday a maximum number of 108 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 76 in East Singhbhum, 39 in Dhanbad, 27 in Bokaro and 19 in Deoghar (top five districts). A total of number of 490 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 156 from Ranchi, 82 from Dhanbad, 75 from Bokaro, 35 from East Singhbhum and 23 from Giridih. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 94 percent mark to currently stand at 94.25 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 34,73,698 samples have been collected out of which 34,61,834 have been tested and 33,58,947 have turned out to be negative
