City records 348 positives, 134 recoveries, 5 death
Jamshedpur, June 8: After a brief lull in the rise of coronavirus cases, the numbers have started climbing up again in Jamshespur.
After registering a dip in daily infections for last couple of weeks, Jamshedpur on Tuesday recorded a significant hike in new cases with the city witnessing 348 COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours. The death toll in Steel City also reached 1042 after 5 fatalities were reported during the same span of time.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur reported 348 new cases, which took its overall tally to 50,958.
More than 4000 were tested on the day. Jamshedpur also recorded 5 death due to the infection as the Steel City continued to recover from the second surge of the coronavirus. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 7.91%.City also saw 134 people recover of the virus while it also registered 5 coronavirus-related deaths.
The overall death toll in the East Singhbhum has reached 1042 and the total cases 50958.
The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 7.91 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 4000 tests in the last 24 hours. The Steel City tested 4402 samples, of which, 348 turned out positive while 134 people recovered from the Covid-19 on Tuesday, June 8.
Meanwhile, 5 deaths were recorded in the same duration.
The recovery rate has climbed to 97.03 % while the active cases are 809.
134 positive people recovered of the virus on Tuesday pushing the recovery mark to 49107.
Deaths due to the virus continue to be sign of worry as 5 person succumbed due to Covid on Tuesday, June 8, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.
City reported 5 death on Tuesday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 50958. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Tuesday, 5 fatality was due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 1042.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 365183 test per million in the district.
As per the records of health department out of 4402 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 348 were found positive.
Over 4000 COVID-19 tests, including 2184 RT-PCR and 1798 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.03% while the mortality rate is 2.04%.
So far in Jamshedpur 978511 samples have been collected out of which 972117 have been tested and 921159 have turned out to be negative.
