After 6 days of double digit Corona positive reportings, cases soar to 233 in Jamshedpur on Thursday

Jamshedpur, Oct 8: There was a near lull in the zone of COVID-19 positive finding as reports in double digits had a touch of relief over the last six days but on Thursday 233 cases were reported in Jamshedpur thus making citizen pull up their guards.   

Jamshedpur reported less 100 COVID positive cases for the sixth straight day till Wednesday but on Thursday 233 positive cases were recorded taking the Coronavirus tally to 14,666.    

Positive tally has climbed to 14,666 while the death toll remains at 332 with no death on Thursday. 113 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 12731 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1603.       

The district administration spokesperson informed that 233 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Thursday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 80711 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district in 2.3 % while recovery rate is 88%.

Meanwhile Hospitals, whose negligence causes the death of a patient, will be booked under the provisions of the Clinical Establishment Act, state health minister Banna Gupta said on Thursday, requesting private healthcare facilities to be humane during the Covid-19 pandemic and not see it as an opportunity to mint money.

�This is the time to stand united and fight Covid-19. It is my humble request to all private establishments to not see this pandemic as an opportunity to mint money,� said Gupta. �Any healthcare establishment found guilty of negligence, which causes someone�s death, will be booked under the provisions of the Clinical Establishment Act,� he added.
