After 2 days’ lull, four Covid deaths reported in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 17: After a hiatus of two days East Singhbhum district reported four COVID-19 deaths on Saturday, October 17. ��66 corona positive cases were reported in Jamshedpur on Friday, October 16 taking the total tally to 15247. Positive tally has climbed to 15247 while the death toll has climbed to 342 with four deaths on Saturday. 55 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 13685 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1220. ����� �

The district administration spokesperson informed that 66 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Saturday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 92201 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district is 2.2 % while recovery rate has climbed to 90%.

In Jharkhand 8 people died of the virus while 542 were reported positive on Saturday. Ranchi reported maximum 242 positive cases. East Singhbhum reported 4 deaths while one each succumbed to the virus in Bokaro, Giridih, Godda and Dhanbad.

The death toll has reached 826 while positive tally has reached 95967 of which 88559 people have recovered including 501 on Friday. The active cases in the state are around 6500. Jharkhand recovery rate is 92.27 while the mortality rate is 0.86 %.
