Jamshedpur, Dec 27: Strict rules will followed during the auction of liquor shops in the district during the new financial year for which several decisions were taken during the meeting of monitoring committee meeting which concluded on Friday. The decisions will be followed from the new financial year through which the administration also discussed increasing the revenue. The proposal of auction of shops was also sent with consensus that not a single retail shop will function from Government encroachment land or illegal sites.
All the shops will be verified by Circle Officer or Land & Marketing Head of Tata Steel and after approval shops will be permitted to open. It may be noted that in the current financial year very few shops have been auctioned after the approval, this was the reason the meeting focused on lowering the number of shops in the new financial year. Due to non settlement of shops there is a revenue loss to the administration and there is a 100 percent settled shops the meeting discussed. On the occasion DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal, SSP Amol V Homkar, Trainee IAS Neha Arora, SDO Prem Ranjan, ZIla Parishad Chairman Sonia Samant, Land & Marketing Head of Tata Steel along with several others were present.
