Jamshedpur : The East Singhbhum district administration today issued a circular changing no-entry regulations for heavy vehicles with effect from today in view of schools changing time due to rising mercury.
The new ‘no-entry’ timing prohibits heavy vehicles entering into city between 5 am to 8.30 am, 11 am – 2 pm and 5 pm – 11 pm. The earlier no entry timings of heavy vehicles was between 6 am- 9.30 am, 12.30 pm – 1.30 pm and 5 pm – 10 pm.
The new timings regulation for heavy vehicles directive jointly issued by East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amitabh Kaushal, East Singhbhum senior superintendent of police Amol V. Homkar and Jamshedpur traffic deputy superintendent of police (traffic) R. M Sinha will be enforced till the school change their timing.
Concerned over the rising mercury in the city the city based private schools have changed the timing with school opening around 45 minutes earlier (6.30 am) and closing at around 11.30 am. But ‘No Entry timing for the heavy vehicles was the same so the students were under threat. Some of the schools that near busy roads are Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS), Rajendra Vidyalaya, Loyola School and Beldih Church School, DAV Public School, Hill Top School and Little Flower School (Telco Main Road), and Kerala Samajam Model School.
