Ranchi: Members of Adivasi Jan Parishad burnt effigy of the chief minister of Jharkhand, Mr. Raghubar Das at Firaylal Chowk on Friday and demanded that the government declare a domicile policy without delay.
A large number of members of Adivasi Jan Parishad took part in effigy burning and protests.
Adivasi Jan Parishad has demanded a domicile policy for the state that takes care of the needs of the local tribal population and which gives them preference in terms of employment and educational opportunities.
It may be mentioned here that the CM has recently said that all citizens of the country have a single domicile status and the state government would ensure that the locals get preference in matters of employment as per the laws and constitution.
