Jamshedpur: One of the most popular Durga Puja pandals of the city, organized by Thakur Pyara Singh-Dhurandar Singh Club at Kasidih, will be inaugurated by former state chief minister Babulal Marandi on October 11.
Pandal hoppers may take this opportunity to view the artwork in the pandal amidst lesser crowd buildup. The pandal visitors usually throng the Durga Puja venue from the day of Shasthi Puja.
The footfalls at Kasidih during the four days of festivity have been growing through the years. Although the magnificent pandal will be opened to the public on October 11, the Puja rituals will commence on Panchami day.
Stalls for food items and other pieces of attraction are almost ready. The fairground is also replete with amusement counters which will attract visitors of all ages.
Another hugely popular point of interest is the Durga Puja Pandal of Adityapur organized by Jairam Sporting Club. This years theme will feature African tribal culture and customs. Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha speaker, Dinesh Oraon has been invited to inaugurate this ambitious pandal on October 13.
Former legislator Arvind Singh informed that this years theme will depict tribal culture and customs. Elaborating further, Arvind Singh stated, The African tribal getup will focus on rural scenario, personality development, rural economic pursuits, cottage industries and other features. Their use of bamboo and hay for various uses will be displayed to create a purely rural environment in and around the pandal area.
To add to the depiction of natural climes, trees, plants and green vegetable farming will be on view at the pandal complex.
The pandal precincts have been decorated with bamboo and cane artwork.
